About The Family Man
Stan has been married to his wife Kim for 33 years. They have been blessed with 10 children, 11 if you include Stan, as he likes to say. Homeschooling their children has presented a fantastic opportunity to have the whole family involved in the business. When the kids are not working on traditional school subjects, they are learning and applying clerical skills in the office and trade skills in the field. Outside of The Blind Man, Stan is involved with his family in Trail Life USA, American Heritage Girls, pro-life ministries, Bible study, and "hot date night" with Kim. Stan's goal in life is to reflect Jesus Christ and honor God in all aspects of life and ultimately, pass down this desire to his children so that they might have a greater impact in this world for good.
About The Blindman
Stan Paterka started out in the retail end of the window coverings industry. After a couple of years in sales, he decided to give the production end a try and soon transitioned into installation services. After installing for The Drapery Handyman for a few years, God presented the opportunity for Stan to go into the installation business for himself. Thus began The Blindman LLC.
What started as a one-man operation—where Stan handled everything from installation to office management—has grown significantly over the past 20 years. Today, with nearly 30 years of experience in all aspects of the industry, Stan has acquired an invaluable wealth of knowledge and insight to offer his partners. The Blindman now employs 10 installers and 6 office/warehouse personnel, and provides installation services to over 35 businesses throughout South Texas.
Though he’s been spotted in public wearing white dress shoes, we’re confident Stan can still offer a few limited decorating tips for windows. We credit our continued success 100% to Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who gave His life for us so that we might live.
